Exporting Data

Where to Export

Use the Export to Excel (in the CSV format) button on the Explore screen, the same place where you view a shape’s records.

What Gets Exported

Exports include the records that match your filters at the time the export begins, along with the columns and column order you currently have selected.

Note: Because exports may take time to prepare, the file will reflect the data as it existed when the export started. If new records are added or existing ones change while the export is running, those updates may not appear in the downloaded file. This is why the Downloads page shows both the start time and elapsed time for each export.

How to Start an Export

  1. Click Export → Export to Excel (CSV format)
  2. A download icon appears that shows the export has started and links to Settings → Downloads
  3. On that page you can track progress, cancel the export, or download the finished file

Data Limits & Partial Exports

  • Maximum export size: 1,000,000 rows
  • If your export exceeds it SyncHive will warn you before proceeding and will export the first 1,000,000 rows

Downloads Page (Settings → Downloads)

All exports from the SyncHive instance appear here, even those started by others. For each export you can see:

  • Status, who started it, start time
  • File name, shape, file size (when ready)
  • Generation time, elapsed time, expiry time

Note: Files stay downloadable for 24 hours after generation. Details of the expired download remain on the downloads page for 1 week after expiry.

Permissions & Cancelling

  • Any user can start exports and view the Downloads page
  • You can cancel your own exports
  • Account Admins can cancel exports started by anyone
